Sikkens, Flex Additives

A sanding agent to satisfy all needs in blending situations. Also a more aggressive agent for use in all plastic refinish uses.

Sikkens Blend-Prep:
All existing finishes that are to be prepared for blending or fading out.
Sikkens Plast-O-Prep:
All non-coated plastic car parts that are being prepared for refinish.

1. For Blend Panel Preparation on Basecoat/Clearcoat Repairs


	Clean all areas: first degrease with appropriate Sikkens degreaser.
In the above drawings, area "A" is the area under repair. Shape it and build up the area using the appropriate products. After the appropriate products have dried, sand the area under repair "A" as well as the adjacent area "B." When spot repairs are made, wet sanding by hand is preferred.
	Sand areas "A" and "B" with waterproof #P800 grit paper. Thoroughly scour areas "C" and "D" (whole panel) with a grey scuff pad, Sikkens Blend-Prep and water. If blending of the clearcoat is inevitable (sail panels), apply Blend-Prep to a damp sponge, and scour until gloss is removed. Thoroughly clean with water and degrease with appropriate Sikkens degreaser.

2. Blend Panel Preparation for Single Stage Colors when Clearcoat will be applied


	Clean all areas: first degrease with appropriate Sikkens degreaser.
In the above drawings, area "A" is the area under repair. Shape it and build up the area using the appropriate products. After the appropriate products have dried, sand the area under repair "A" as well as the adjacent area "B." When spot repairs are made, wet sanding by hand is preferred.
	Sand area "A" and "B" with waterproof #P800 grit paper. Thoroughly scour areas "C" and "D" (whole panel) with a white scuff pad, Sikkens Blend-Prep and water. If blending of the clearcoat is inevitable (sail panels), apply Blend-Prep to a damp sponge, and scour until gloss is removed. Thoroughly clean with water and degrease with appropriate Sikkens degreaser.

3. For non-primed Plastic Body Parts
